It’s right at the edge of the Arabian Gulf. The zone was established in 1988 and granted autonomy in 1996 by Sheikh Humaid Rashid al Nuaimi, the ruler of Ajman at the time. The Ajman Free Zone Authority has been functioning in the United Arab Emirates since then. The opportunity to start a new business in the Ajman Free Zone is available under the UAE Economic and Affordable Trade License. In terms of business, companies operating in the Ajman Free Zone have the same official status as companies operating in other UAE Free Zones. Trade, imports and exports, contracts, banking, visas, and E-commerce are all available in the same way they are in other Free Zones.
