Masks can now be removed when exercising in public places, on beaches and at poolsides, at hair salons, and in medical centers when being treated, while adhering to a two-metre distance guideline. The move comes after a steady drop in daily reported cases since early July, according to a statement from the National Emergency Crisis and Disaster Management Authority, which was quoted by state news agency WAM.
Local governments should post signs indicating where masks can be removed, according to the report. On Oct. 1, Dubai, one of the UAE’s seven emirates, will host the Expo 2020 world exhibition, which is expected to attract 25 million domestic and international visitors.
To join the Expo, anybody above the age of 18 must be vaccinated against the coronavirus or test negative. Expo 2020 Dubai will take place from October 1, 2021, to March 31, 2022, and will last 182 days.
Dr. Ahmed Albanna, the UAE’s Ambassador to India, had previously revealed that the UAE had relaxed processes and coronavirus norms for Indians visiting the country. Albanna further stated that all travelers from India, whether on tourist or work visas, will be permitted to enter the UAE with less stringent coronavirus regulations.
The necessity for visitors from other areas of the country to present a Covid-19 negative test was lifted in Abu Dhabi on Sunday, after the infection rate in the UAE capital plummeted to 0.2 percent of all tests.
